We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking planning manager to join our established and growing team based in Cambridge. To oversee and undertake the planning function, at either the bid or delivery stage, of a project lifecycle. This will entail the development of the programme and subsequent monitoring, analysis of trends, provide optioneering studies and ultimately to be the overall custodian of all time related matters on the project. Project: Using our track record and experience in creating the UK\’s latest science research and development facilities, we are embarking on one of our most ambitious science and education projects yet. At Mace, planning is an essential function of successful project delivery and not just as a checking and reporting role; so, if you\’re a driven, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication / presentation skills and you\’re feeling frustrated in the lack of recognition that the planning receives in your current organisation then please get in touch.
Responsibilities
- Develop fully integrated tender, contract and delivery programmes from first principles with input from the project team and specialist supply chain.
- Ensure the objectives of the plan and its key drivers are clearly communicated to the team and wider stakeholders.
- Proactively support the project team in driving the successful achievement of the programme objectives.
- Establish, with the project team, the requirements of the 8 week look ahead plan.
- Support the project team in the 2 week look ahead planning process.
- Undertake weekly and monthly programme updates and communicate its status via agreed dashboards / reporting tools, taking cognisance of trends, risks and opportunities.
- Consider the impact of change including cause and effect analysis and development of mitigation options.
- Ensure feedback is captured and communicated within the business.
- Provide support to bids as part of the work winning team.
Qualifications
- You have a relevant degree qualification.
- You have experience working within a bid / work winning environment.
- You are proficient in the use of Asta Power project.
- You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated construction teams.
