This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Landscape Architect to join Mace’s responsible business team in the UK and support our growing external grounds team based in one of our regional offices (Manchester or Leeds). This position is ideal for a Chartered Landscape Architect who is experienced in project leadership, design and delivery, with a good holistic understanding of landscape and biodiversity, and a basic knowledge of sustainability aligned with current and future trends in the built environment.
Please Note: The role will be based in Leeds or Manchester and Hybrid/Remote working is supported with travel to sites across the region to support the team needs. Candidates will need to progress through the security clearance process.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Managing DfE landscape delivery across RIBA stages.
- Producing landscape strategies, drawings, planting plans.
- Delivering LVIA and visual assessments.
- Providing technical assurance, UGF, BNG coordination.
- Championing landscape‑led, nature‑based design solutions.
- Coordinating consultants, stakeholders, authorities, partners.
- Supporting construction delivery, protecting and enhancing landscapes.
- Growing capability through work‑winning and team development.
You’ll Need To Have:
- Degree or qualification in landscape architecture; chartered member of the landscape institute (CMLI).
- Strong technical capability across AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, GIS; Revit advantageous.
- Proven delivery of landscape and urban design from concept to construction, including LVIA and BNG.
- Communicator with experience advising clients, navigating UK planning, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
