You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Supporting the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assessing the current resources on current projects to ensure that they are sufficient to meet the project goals.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducting interviews to assess the skills and experience of potential candidates for BIM roles.
  • Developing BIM execution plan (BEP).
  • Developing the client’s digital handover strategy.
  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients.
  • Ensuring security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.
  • Implementing governance and assurance processes.
  • Monitoring digital handover to completion.
  • Participating in industry events to stay up to date on the latest BIM developments.
  • Producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650.
  • Producing information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.
  • Raising job requisitions to identify and recruit new talent for the BIM team.
  • Researching compliance with new regulations and governance.
  • Responsible for object library development in alignment with wider BIM strategy.
  • Responsible for the assurance and checking of the Information Model.
  • Responsible to produce the Information model. (Pre‑RIBA Stage 3 only).
  • Reviewing Autodesk construction cloud account management and staying up to date on the latest Autodesk developments.
  • Reviewing current technology solutions and researching new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
  • Supporting construction sequencing strategy using information models.
  • Supporting Mace Cost team in preparation of cost plans from information models.
  • Providing training on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM‑related topics.
  • Upskilling the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Collaborating with Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement plans / identifying key business improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships.
  • Managing and influencing Key/Senior stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Level 6 qualifications (or equivalent).
  • Degree apprenticeship, degree with honours – for example Bachelor of the Arts (BA) hon or, Bachelor of Science (BSc) hon or, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, level 6 award, level 6 certificate, level 6 diploma, level 6 NVQ.
  • Advanced understanding of ISO19650, BS1192, common data environment (CDE), IFC, COBie, and classifications.
