The Project
The recently announced Thamesmead Extension project extends the Docklands Light Railway from Gallions Reach to a new station in Thamesmead. The £1.7bn project involves building a new station at Beckton Riverside before a tunnel under the Thames takes the line to the new Thamesmead station. The extension aims to unlock thousands of new homes and jobs, improve connections to central London, and support growth in a historically under-served area of the capital.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Manage and uphold safety, quality, cost, and compliance standards.
- Ensure ethical, sustainable delivery aligned with business objectives.
- Foster diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in all activities.
- Champion collaboration to achieve net zero carbon goals.
- Prepare tender packs, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor delivery against strategic objectives and client expectations.

You’ll Need To Have
- Experience with TfL or Network Rail projects.
- Strong knowledge of TWAO process and procurement strategies.
- Chartered status with CIPS or MRICS/RICS.
- Degree in quantity surveying or cost management.
- Proven commercial acumen and stakeholder management expertise.
