The project: A great opportunity for a change expert with a background in consulting or large-scale transformation delivery to join our expanding change and transformation team within Mace Advisory. We set up clients for success by bringing our global learning and expertise to inform the mobilisation and delivery of projects and programmes.

Part of our advisory services centre of excellence, the change and transformation team has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of work with both property and infrastructure clients across the globe. To support our growth, we are seeking senior managers with a broad change and transformation capability to complement our current team, offering expertise in structuring and delivering change across a variety of sectors.

Manages the delivery of technical commission delivery in complex, dynamic and uncertain environments during the pre-conception, feasibility and early stages of projects and programmes. Provides comprehensive in-depth technical capability from specific professional discipline and/or specialist capabilities to deploy in an advisory capacity across more than one client and/or sector. Accountable for the technical aspects of projects and programmes or will bring specialist expertise to larger projects and programmes.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive support with the commission team to achieve outputs, providing technical advice on commissions working across one portfolio/organisations.
  • Sharing technical/functional/domain expertise to upskill capabilities.
  • Recommending key technical elements of proposal development and commission delivery, integrating technical expertise with other capabilities to achieve key deliverables and milestones.
  • Developing and maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships and extensive networks across the commission team and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements and technical options/solutions to client issues and business improvements.
  • Managing client relationship management activities related to a specific technical area.
  • Delivering into the business development strategy and work winning by sharing experience in technical skills to identify new opportunities and providing innovative solutions.
  • Providing mentoring/training to members of the team.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:

  • Effective communication and engagement skills with the ability to translate complex topics to accessible and compelling language.
  • Managing benefits development and delivery across complex stakeholder environments on major programmes.
  • Providing visible change leadership and coaching/delivery support to engagements.
  • Developing high-performing multi-disciplinary teams, working across programmes to provide change expertise, development and guidance.
  • Expertise in aspects of change management and transformation (e.g. operating model/organisation development/skills transfer etc.)
  • Providing appropriate skills and support to business development - developing new business opportunities and working to support a range of bid activities.
  • In depth knowledge of one or more property and infrastructure sectors (e.g., aviation, rail, roads, healthcare, nuclear, utilities, energy transition).

  • Strong specialism in aspects of change and transformation, evidenced through professional qualifications and delivery experience in a consulting/advisory practice.
  • In addition to your technical skills, you may also have contacts across government and in industry.
  • You will be a self-starter with a passion for change and a sense of adventure.
  • A flexible, team player you will bring a wealth of other consultancy skills across major project and programme delivery and align with the Mace values and behaviours.
