Overview Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. In the energy sector, the UK will need to invest up to £900 billion of capital expenditure to enable a net zero economy by 2050. Our clients in the sector are delivering complex projects and programmes for low‑carbon technologies and infrastructure. This role will help deliver construction projects that increase capacity on the network and connect new generation and storage into the grid.
Working closely with client and contractor teams, you will manage and drive project controls activities on major projects and programmes, including setting up project controls functions, delivering day‑to‑day services, and continuous improvement of existing operations to boost productivity and performance across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance across quality, cost, programme, sustainability and wellbeing.
- Delivering trusted management information and reporting that drives performance and informed decision‑making.
- Supporting project controls, strategy, and commercial insight to enable successful project and business outcomes.
- Fostering inclusive, collaborative teams, sharing knowledge and building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Designing, developing and supporting Power BI reporting and analytics solutions, ensuring performance and maintainability.
- Partnering with business stakeholders to shape BI requirements, delivering meaningful insights through data analysis and quality assurance.
- Collaborating with architecture and IT service teams to scope change and transition into service.
- Supporting net zero delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified with three years’ relevant experience in linear infrastructure delivery.
- Three years earned value management (EVM) project management experience.
- Advanced experience and capability in Power BI and MS Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
