You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Providing leadership, delivery focus and direction to the client, delivery partners and integrated planning teams.
- Directing, mentoring and developing the planning and scheduling team, ensuring SQEP recruitment, championing schedule management best practice.
- Supporting senior stakeholders, business development, and contributing to long‑term strategic decision‑making.
- Ensuring schedule management information is used to drive robust decision making.
- Establishing, administering and managing the Integrated master schedule (IMS), including the resource dictionary, to ensure visibility of resource utilisation across the project portfolio.
- Maintaining and improving the schedule development, supplier data integration, progress updating and reporting.
- Ensuring the setup and integrity of project baselines, applying robust change control with effective record‑keeping and audit trails.
- Ensuring programme and partnering schedules are developed to agreed planning standards, NEC requirements, and client governance.
- Preparing tender schedules and developing fully cost‑loaded schedules that reflect the complete project scope and generate meaningful performance data.
- Managing the implementation and setup of the schedule and baseline and supporting EVM implementation, analytics and trend and change, risk and commercial control.
- Supporting the risk manager with the QRSA.
- Setting up and administering Primavera environments, and resource dictionaries, ensuring consistency and controlled use across the programme and projects.
- Producing monthly, weekly and ad hoc reports highlighting schedule performance, plan on a page, milestone slip charts, resource utilisation.
- Developing, authoring and maintaining Schedule Management procedures and standard templates aligned with client delivery standards and governance needs.
- Providing expert planning advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensuring adherence to planning procedures, methods and systems across all delivery teams and partners.
- Supporting negotiations, commercial discussions and portfolio‑level assurance through high‑quality schedule intelligence.
You’ll Need To Have:
- Degree (or equivalent) with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the construction, programme, project or commercial management disciplines.
- Expert knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
- Mastery in setting up effective planning/schedule management systems and procedures.
- Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
- Experience of working on and leading planning on a major capital programme.
