Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. We are looking for an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to join our Defence team. This role sits within the Construction Logistics function and plays a key part in supporting construction activity across our client’s sites. You will be responsible for integrating project specific logistics requirements into wider site logistics planning, ensuring safe, efficient and coordinated delivery. Please note: Due to the security requirements of the role, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Managing the integration of construction logistics requirements by developing and implementing project plans aligned to estates and liabilities programmes.
- Acting as the main point of contact for logistics, providing expert guidance and ensuring effective coordination between construction logistics and estates and liabilities.
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to enable collaboration and smooth delivery across all teams.
- Managing delivery performance, including monitoring plans, identifying risks and issues early, and driving proactive solutions.
- Coordinating input from logistics subject matter experts (including environment and sustainability) to ensure compliant and efficient outcomes.
- Ensuring alignment across the construction logistics team, working closely with people logistics and Integration Project Managers.
- Producing clear and timely project reporting, including programme, cost, risks and performance insights for stakeholders and the logistics PMO.
- Supporting governance and compliance requirements, including maintaining stakeholder records and required documentation.
- Representing logistics at key forums, including land acquisition working groups and site development boards.
You’ll Need To Have:
- Strong experience in planning and managing construction logistics (either client side, consultancy or contractor environment).
- Proven ability to deliver projects to time, cost and quality.
- A construction, construction logistics or consultancy background.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder project environments.
- Strong digital capability and confidence working with project data and reporting tools.
- A recognised project management qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
