We are looking for a Communications Manager to join our Defence team in Reading and lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing and communications activity. This is a strategic and hands-on role, responsible for translating business priorities into impactful communication campaigns that support growth, strengthen client relationships, and enhance brand positioning. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes across multiple channels.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Developing and delivering an annual marketing and communications strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of integrated campaigns, from planning through to execution, measurement, and optimisation.
  • Supporting strategic bids and capture plans with targeted marketing and communications activity.
  • Managing account-based marketing (ABM) for key strategic clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
  • Collaborating across communications functions (PR, internal communications, campaigns, and digital) to deliver aligned activity.
  • Using market insights and analysis to inform strategy and identify opportunities.
  • Partnering with digital and creative teams to deliver impactful, content-led campaigns.
  • Using data, reporting, and dashboards to measure performance and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Managing budgets to ensure effective allocation of spend and return on investment.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador, ensuring all communications align with brand guidelines and strengthen market positioning.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Proven experience in a marketing and/or communications role within a professional service, construction, infrastructure, or built environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong planning and budget management capability.
  • Experience supporting bids, business development, or client engagement activity.
  • A data-driven approach, with experience using insights and analytics to inform decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Commercial awareness and focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
