The project: To enable our planned growth in the Energy and Utilities sector, we are looking to grow our transmission and distribution consultancy team. Our portfolio of work involves delivering complex projects and programmes across our client base of strategic clients across electricity. The project supervisor supports project delivery by upholding safety, quality and contractual standards on-site, ensuring progress aligns with agreed time, cost and performance outcomes. The role works collaboratively with clients, contractors and the supply chain, proactively managing risks and driving effective, compliant project execution.

Please Note: This role is based in London with some travel required throughout the UK.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Ensuring that the Principal Contractor is pro-active in managing all safety aspects of the construction-based activities and discharging their duties under CDM regulations.
  • Undertaking regular site safety walks, attending coordination meetings and chairing regular site progress meetings with contractors.
  • Ensuring that site access/egress is controlled and maintaining a site log/diary.
  • Reviewing the suitability of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Providing input to, reviewing and commenting on the deliverability of contractor programmes, including commissioning, and proactively monitoring activity progress.
  • Inspecting, approving or rejecting materials and workmanship in line with construction industry and client standards.
  • Undertaking sensible monitoring of site construction activities.
  • Issuing site instructions and authenticating record sheets issued by the Principal Contractor.
  • Ensuring drawings are maintained on site and that latest revisions are readily available through documentation system.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Site management experience with strong safety focus.
  • Knowledge of CDM, risk, environmental and waste standards.
  • Familiarity with NEC/FIDIC contracts and basic project management.
  • Degree/HNC, relevant industry experience and NEBOSH/SMSTS/IOSH.
