The project: A great opportunity for Project Manager to join our established Ministry of Justice sector within Mace, which is currently experiencing an exciting and sustained period of growth. The existing team has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of projects of the highest quality across the MoJ prison portfolio. You will be working on one of the largest Mace programmes of works with an alliance framework contractor and established professional team. The projects incorporate the latest modern methods of construction and standardised processes.

Supports successful project delivery through procurement and construction, managing consultants and stakeholders across a major justice-sector programme. Provides end‑to‑end project management for new prison facilities in Suffolk, ensuring time, cost and quality outcomes while strengthening client relationships, driving governance, and advancing the project lead’s strategy.

The role entails hybrid working with attendance on site at least 3 days a week and working from home or the regional office as required.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Managing project plans from brief to delivery.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder engagement.
  • Overseeing design, procurement and risk processes.
  • Maintaining quality, governance and programme performance.
  • Managing budgets and contractor interfaces.
  • Supporting project lead and build strong client relationships.
  • Driving collaboration, innovation and best‑practice adoption.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM or ICE) with strong public‑sector delivery experience.
  • Proven project management, commercial acumen and NEC4 contract administration skills.
  • Skilled in leading teams, managing senior stakeholders and delivering complex property or infrastructure schemes.
  • Aware of carbon, sustainability and mobility requirements across UK projects.
