The project involves the provision of project management, commercial management and programme management resources and services required by a defence infrastructure organisation.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Commercially focussed QS.
  • Familiar with Think Project (CEMAR).
  • Main Contractor management experience.
  • Understanding Public Procurement Regulations.
  • Supporting programme development in the production of early budgetary estimates.
  • Developing effective business relationships with portfolio team members in supporting the attainment of team objectives.
  • Developing effective business relationships with stakeholders in ensuring adoption of functional.
  • Quantity surveying best practice in the delivery of portfolios.
  • Providing functional quantity surveying expertise and support to the wider programme delivery businesses.
  • Undertaking reviews of contract adherence across programme delivery.
  • Undertaking contract compliance audits.
  • Supporting the commercial function in the evaluation of, and negotiation of tenders, contract changes and compensation events.
  • Providing support for development of preliminary, initial and main gate business case submissions.
  • Providing senior management with appropriate reports to support decision making.
  • Acting as contract specific quantity surveying functional expert in all aspects of price validation and agreement, including dispute resolution.

You’ll need to have:

  • RICS membership or equivalent of substantial years’ experience of using NEC form of contract.
  • NEC 4 Accredited.
  • 10 Years post qualification experience.
  • Degree Level - ideally with Masters.
  • Chartered.
  • Be able to obtain SC Clearance.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. A construction or project management background is preferred, and you should be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
