The project: Our client is the utilities provider in the South-East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.
You will work within capital delivery, and you will work with project teams in a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of a number of water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within their AMP8 programme. The role will ensure our clients project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver projects. Providing strong HSW leadership, offering expert advice and assurance to senior leaders. Champions health, safety, and wellbeing while driving alignment with business strategy and objectives.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing projects from concept to handover.
- Developing and maintaining project management plans.
- Driving design, surveys, and works information.
- Administering NEC3/4 contracts effectively.
- Ensuring delivery on time, budget, and quality.
- Preparing specifications, tenders, and risk registers.
- Maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Managing contractors and stakeholder engagement.
- Assisting in traffic management planning and coordination across delivery vehicles.
- Ensuring compliance with published TM procedures and stakeholder requirements.
- Supporting interface management for operational and construction activities.
You’ll need to have:
- 8+ years’ project management in regulated or water sector.
- Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE).
- Skilled in Oracle, Primavera P6, and financial tools.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and sustainability awareness.
