The project: Our client is the utilities provider in the South-East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.
You will work within capital delivery, and you will work with project teams in a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of a number of water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within their AMP8 programme. The role will ensure our clients project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver projects.
Supports project delivery to achieve agreed time, cost and quality outcomes. Coordinates stakeholders to deliver defined objectives, undertakes research and analysis to inform decisions, and manages discrete project elements and external parties under appropriate oversight to meet project KPIs.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Supporting end-to-end project delivery, managing quality systems, tasks and deliverables to achieve agreed milestones.
- Demonstrating integrity through cost awareness, risk identification and contribution to sustainable business outcomes.
- Building collaborative relationships, manage defined project elements independently and draw on Mace best practice to deliver excellence.
- Supporting delivery of project objectives in line with the project plan, maintaining health, safety, wellbeing and quality standards throughout.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to manage risks, track change and ensure robust project governance and controls.
- Supporting meetings, reporting, site activity, research and management of plans, processes and documentation.
- Applying Mace best practice, digital capability and net zero principles to support effective project delivery and handover.
You’ll Need To Have:
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Experience in project management, ideally in a property or infrastructure sector.
- A developing knowledge of commercial and financial considerations.
- Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
