Role Overview

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. The role reports to the Global Procurement and Supply Chain Service Line Lead and directs the delivery of the Supply Chain Intelligence and readiness sub‑service line across programmes, sectors and regions. The position ensures supply‑chain capability is embedded within programme delivery, provides clear insight into market capacity, capability and risk, and supports data‑driven decision‑making through digital tools, analytics and supply‑chain intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery and integration of supply‑chain intelligence and readiness services across programmes, including mapping, market engagement, capacity and capability assessment.
  • Monitor supplier performance and insight, and support long‑lead readiness and programme alignment.
  • Integrate supply‑chain considerations into procurement strategy, packaging and sequencing, and support end‑to‑end procurement and supply‑chain delivery from early strategy to mobilisation.
  • Align supply‑chain approaches with commercial and contracting strategies to support delivery outcomes.
  • Oversee supply‑chain delivery across multiple programmes, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance.
  • Support programme teams in managing market constraints, delivery risks and supply‑chain performance.
  • Monitor market conditions to provide timely advice on supply‑chain risks and opportunities.
  • Apply governance processes, standards and assurance across delivery.
  • Manage the application of digital tools, analytics and supply‑chain intelligence platforms, ensuring consistent use of tools, templates and reporting approaches.
  • Support improved visibility across procurement and supply‑chain performance.
  • Provide supply‑chain advice to clients, supporting decision‑making on procurement strategy and delivery, and building strong working relationships with client teams and key stakeholders.
  • Represent Mace professionally across client and market interactions.
  • Direct and manage teams delivering supply‑chain and procurement services, providing guidance, oversight and mentoring to associate directors, senior managers and their teams.
  • Plan and mobilise resources across programmes, ensuring delivery teams are aligned to programme requirements and workload demands.
  • Collaborate with global service‑line leadership to ensure alignment with agreed priorities, support coordination across Strategy, Excellence and Delivery, and contribute to implementation of governance, tools and methodologies.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration across regions and teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree‑qualified in business, engineering, supply chain or a related field.
  • Relevant professional membership preferred (e.g. MCIPS, RICS or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering procurement and supply‑chain services across major programmes.
  • Strong understanding of supply‑chain management, procurement processes and commercial strategy.
  • Experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Digital competency with experience using procurement systems, data and analytical tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated effective delivery of supply‑chain services across programmes.
  • Ability to integrate supply‑chain into procurement and programme delivery consistently.
  • Consistent use of tools, templates and governance processes.
  • Track record of improving visibility and understanding of supply‑chain capacity, risk and performance.
  • Positive client feedback and contribution to programme outcomes.
