The role is for an Ops engineer specializing in the Microsoft technology stack (Power Platform and Fabric, M365, Azure). It is a role supporting fee‑earning projects and programmes in a back‑of‑house capacity.
As part of your role, you will interface with a multi‑disciplinary Digital Development team comprising data engineers, app developers and BI developers, as well as end users and platform consumers, both from Mace and our client organisations. You will be part of the global Digital Development community, sharing knowledge and experience with other digital professionals. The role will support delivery on some of the largest commercial and infrastructure projects in the world.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Providing first‑line and second‑line support for solutions built on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, including Power BI, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Interfacing with Development teams, Support teams and business users to triage user requests effectively.
- Managing user access and permissions, including role‑based access across Power BI workspaces, SharePoint sites, and M365 groups.
- Supporting the operational configuration of Power Platform environments, including environment setup, access control, and basic governance controls.
- Administering Power BI services, including workspace management, dataset access, gateway configuration, and user troubleshooting.
- Monitoring and resolving service requests, incidents, and user issues, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs.
- Maintaining operational documentation, including support processes, access models, and configuration standards.
- Assisting with platform monitoring and health checks, identifying and escalating issues proactively.
- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and user experience.
You’ll Need To Have
- Experience in an IT support, platform support, or operations role within a Microsoft‑centric environment.
- Hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft 365 services, particularly SharePoint Online and Teams.
- Exposure to or experience with the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), particularly from a support or admin perspective.
- Experience managing user access, permissions, and identity within M365/Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Familiarity with Power BI service administration, including workspace and access management.
- Basic understanding of DevOps and release processes, including working alongside CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience using ticketing and support tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
- Aware of security and governance principles, particularly in relation to cloud platforms and data access.
- A relevant Microsoft certification, such as PL-900: Power platform fundamentals.
