Reporting to the Construction Logistics Lead, the Traffic Manager will deliver and gain local authority approval for key logistics and traffic documentation, and support operational planning for the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of the Project.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Handling traffic planning and modelling.
- Developing all logistics-related development consent order (DCO) deliverables, including the construction traffic management plan and the construction workforce travel plan.
- Developing operational logistics deliverables, including template surveys, plans and reports.
- Developing strong relationships with project-critical external stakeholders, including local authorities and National Highways, to enable the successful delivery of the project.
- Establishing and managing construction logistics-related forums with external stakeholders.
- Supporting the Construction Logistics Lead (NRP) with development of construction-wide requirements, contracts, processes and management plans.
- Supporting development and deployment of the delivery management system to ensure alignment and compliance with the DCO.
- Liaison with the construction contractors to develop safe, efficient, and compliant project execution plans.
- Liaising with construction teams to ensure construction contracts enable efficient, and compliant project delivery.
- Supporting the Construction Logistics Lead with any related tasks as required by the business.
You’ll need to have:
- Computer Literate; competent using web-based systems/Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Senior experience delivering construction traffic, transport or logistics on major civils infrastructure projects (£50m+).
- Proven capability managing local authority relationships and statutory approvals.
- Strong transport planning, legislation, traffic management and worker travel planning expertise.
- Confident problem-solver with strong digital literacy and collaborative delivery approach.
