The project involves managing a major project for Mace's strategic client in the Defence sector with a total construction value of c£500m. This project is part of a major infrastructure investment by our defence client (c£5bn) over the next 10 years.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing day‑to‑day leadership of the project, overseeing design management, construction delivery, and the coordination and resolution of technical queries.
- Directing the collection, analysis, and assurance of project data, including dashboards and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely updates on cost, schedule, risk, performance and change, and proactively addressing potential impacts to outcomes and targets.
- Supporting and contributing to project governance, assurance and review forums, including gated work reviews (GWRs), scrutiny boards, PCP, PCG, PAG, SPAG, and technical reviews, ensuring clear, evidence‑based inputs and follow‑through of actions.
- Working collaboratively with PMO, regional teams, and client‑side project management, providing oversight and integration across technical services providers (TSPs) and contractors to ensure aligned delivery.
- Promoting and embedding lessons from experience (LfE) and lessons learned (LLs), actively supporting the use of the collaboration hub to drive continuous improvement and shared learning across the programme.
- Taking accountability for key client relationships on the project, acting as a trusted advisor, maintaining strong engagement, and supporting the identification and development of live prospects and future work opportunities.
You’ll need to have:
- Chartered membership or equivalent professional development.
- Demonstrable track record of leading complex infrastructure delivery across the full RIBA lifecycle, from early design through to completion and handover.
- NEC4 ECC accreditation and SC eligibility.
- Proven leadership in defence sector project delivery.
