Managing the definition, development and assurance of door locking and key control system requirements for a new nuclear power station. Oversees design development through to contract delivery, providing design surveillance and enabling effective handover to installation teams within the security and access control programme.

Responsibilities
  • Engaging with the end user to understand and develop the Door Locks and Key Control system architecture and requirements of a new nuclear power station.
  • From these user requirements and consideration of wider business requirements, develop and document the Door Locks and Key Control system requirements to support a tender process with potential suppliers.
  • On contract award, work closely with the programme manager to enable the delivery of the Door Locks and Key Control system contract ensuring work packages are delivered safely, on time, to budget, meeting business and system requirements.
  • Directing, managing and optimising the review and surveillance of the Door Locks and Key Control system contract delivery.
  • Maintaining consistency of the contractor delivery and the project reference configuration, including development and management of design change, risk, open point, design checks and validation.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to ensure the design is integrated into the relevant building designs.
  • Handover of the design to the installation teams.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Knowledge of systems controlling access and confirming identities with keys, cards, tags, mobile, and biometric identity verification.
  • Knowledge of Door Locks and Key Control systems applied to large engineering/infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of specification, installation, commissioning and operation of Door Locks and Key Control systems.
  • Effective communication skills, able to maintain collaborative relationships with numerous stakeholders.
  • Technical writing ability with experience in the preparation of reports, specifications and presentations.
  • Experience of working within a project reference configuration environment and authoring design change modifications.
  • Knowledge and experience of installation and operation of Assa Abloy products and services would be beneficial.
