This senior in‑house role is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end UK research and development tax incentive process across the group. The role will manage all aspects of the RDEC regime, strengthen governance and compliance, and transition the organisation towards a real time research and development model to improve visibility, accuracy, and research and development intensity monitoring throughout the year.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Directing group‑wide research and development governance and real‑time monitoring frameworks.
  • Owning policies, processes and performance reviews.
  • Delivering compliant, robust research and development tax claims.
  • Scoping qualifying projects and maintain audit‑ready records.
  • Acting as HMRC lead, managing enquiries and risk.
  • Partnering the business to build research and development capability.
  • Driving automation, data and process improvement.
  • Supporting reporting, targets and international research and development opportunities.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Strong technical expertise in UK research and development incentives and corporate tax considerations.
  • Proven experience delivering research and development tax claims and managing HMRC enquiries.
  • Excellent analytical, financial review and project management capability.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement across technical teams.
