The project: Our client is a professional services organisation with UK and global corporate real estate (CRE) operations. Mace is one of the strategic industry partners with a specific remit for an independent project management office (IPMO). The client’s vision for the IPMO is that it will represent the client across all CRE towers and with key internal stakeholders. The IPMO responsibilities will include driving the client CRE strategy, assurance delivery and compliance, performance management, planning and capital management, commercial management, design and engineering standards, implementation of a suite of digital tools.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Implementing PMO and project controls frameworks.
- Providing independent assurance across delivery partners.
- Establishing governance, reporting and portfolio oversight.
- Developing benchmarks to validate cost estimates.
- Managing cost, schedule, risk and change disciplines.
- Coaching teams, build capability and growth.
- Supporting global hubs, resourcing and Mace Way.
You’ll need to have:
- Proven PMO and project controls leadership on construction and real estate programmes.
- Expertise establishing governance, audit and assurance frameworks, systems and reporting using industry tools.
- Strong commercial, financial and risk acumen; confident influencing senior stakeholders amid uncertainty.
- Degree-qualified professional with chartership; experienced leading diverse teams, sustainability-led delivery and improvement.
