The project: Our client is the utilities provider in the South‑East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long‑term value for all.

An exciting opportunity to join the Cost and Commercial Management team working within Water Sector with our key strategic client. The role is primarily focused on lifecycle costing but will interface closely with estimating and carbon services. Be part of a global cost and commercial management team delivering major programmes.

The estimating function develops robust, value‑driven cost plans, maintains an integrated scope‑cost‑time baseline, applies benchmarking, and supports project controls by assessing risk and pricing change to ensure confident, well‑governed delivery.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Providing specialist lifecycle cost advice and optimisation of whole‑life costs and performance for a range of projects and assets, including whole‑life/lifecycle cost models and options appraisals tailored to projects and clients.
  • Providing whole‑life cost outputs and data to support economic and business cases.
  • Providing LCC advice and models for infrastructure projects.
  • Providing bespoke advice to clients including research and data gathering, quantitative analysis (including lifecycle, energy and risk models), data analysis and evaluation, facilitation of workshops.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.
  • Applying the value management techniques at the outset of a project.
  • Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Experience in whole life costing, modelling and data analysis for major projects.
  • Strong commercial, consultancy and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate outputs under tight timelines.
  • Degree qualified with strong IT skills, particularly Excel.
