The project: Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, playing a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved right from the start of such a historic project. Work to date has primarily focused on enabling works for site readiness. Work is commencing with great speed in the following areas: road, rail, fencing, security, water systems, utilities, and the build of modular and industrial facilities.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing risk management performance across assigned commissions.
- Developing and implementing robust risk frameworks and strategies.
- Acting as trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.
- Delivering quantitative risk analysis for cost and schedule.
- Advising on contingency adequacy in reporting cycles.
- Ensuring compliance with Mace standards and legislation.
- Mentoring and managing junior risk professionals.
- Driving innovation and best practice for service excellence.
You’ll need to have:
- Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., Active Risk Manager, riskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to manage complexity and drive outcomes.
- At least 10 years experience or equivalent as risk management leader delivering a range of project risk management services on major construction programmes.
