The project: Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve net zero by 2050.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Developing detailed project plans that fully consider logistics, site constraints and overall project delivery requirements.
  • Interfacing with the project team to support the preparation of weekly progress reports and meet all contractual obligations.
  • Reviewing and analysing productivity data to accurately measure progress and performance.
  • Communicating effectively with the client, project team and wider stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Integrating sustainable design principles and procurement processes into project programmes.
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are fully embedded within all planning and scheduling activities.
  • Establishing and overseeing work plans, key milestones and deadlines, ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Undertaking a range of tasks required to fulfil project and assignment requirements.
  • Coordinating team activities, driving collaboration and effective delivery.
  • Contributing to the programme’s net‑zero carbon goals by identifying and managing carbon emissions and reduction opportunities throughout project delivery.

You’ll Need To Have

  • Degree‑qualified with strong experience in UK regulatory, nuclear or safety‑critical environments.
  • Expert in IMS, governance, assurance and ISO‑based quality systems.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement and team management capability.
  • Skilled in influencing behaviours, presenting confidently and driving improvement across complex organisations.
