This is an opportunity to work with a Strategic client on a Joint Venture with Mace, shaping the digital solution on a strategic project over many years. These multi-year commissions are a fantastic platform to help our people, and our clients' people grow together and accelerate careers along with the infrastructure at the heart of this scheme.

The location for this role will be onsite in the South of England 3-4 days a week initially whilst embedding in the project with scope to have some more flexibility and potentially reduce this in the future.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Managing a team to manage all aspects of digital solution delivery and operation on client-facing projects to enable the project/programme team to work efficiently and effectively and get access to the data they need.
  • Assessing and benchmarking client’s Digital maturity and creating an action plan to increase the maturity.
  • Utilising an appropriate body of knowledge (e.g. the Mace Way) project delivery methodology, standards, and templates.
  • Gathering requirements from the client, project colleagues and business users, and understanding the client needs.
  • Developing the Digital Strategy, data and system architecture and leading a digital team responsible for delivery of that strategy.
  • Working with colleagues and peers as part of a development and support team.
  • Settling solutions onto stable-state operations whilst retaining some reach-back support.
  • Liaising with partner IT functions; and other stakeholder IT functions; client and supply chain partners.
  • Defining the Digital Team structure, recruiting team members, line managing and developing the team to be high performing and support their well-being.
  • Engaging seamlessly with other teams within the client project eco-system.
  • Defining and setting up governance models.
  • Developing and keeping your business and technical knowledge and networks current and continuously improving.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Experience as a Digital Lead or supporting a Digital Lead on one or more previous major construction projects or programmes.
  • Experience of leading on a Joint Venture environment with different partners.
  • Experience of construction software selection and implementation.
  • Knowledge of the latest technology and how it can be applied to business problems.
  • Strategic thinking and planning related to technology.
  • Experience of being responsible for software selection and implementation and software licensing.
  • Technology supplier management.
  • System and enterprise architecture.
  • IT Project Management capabilities and qualifications.
  • Project budgeting and cost management.
  • Business case writing.
  • Business analysis.
  • Technology support.
  • Experience of technology and software used in the real estate, construction or project management sectors.
  • Good stakeholder management.
  • People management in direct and matrix management modes.
