You’ll need to have:
- Significant experience of effective PMO and Project Controls leadership on significant/landmark/mega construction projects.
- Significant experience of leading the effective deployment of robust PMO and Project Controls strategies/frameworks and integrated project controls methodologies.
- Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
- Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty or ambiguity providing effective consultancy to clients and other key stakeholders to drive effective outcome/s.
- Manage upward effectively and constructively challenge BUD.
- Lead others effectively, give clear direction, coach and support others to reach their full potential.
- Mentor and develop the project team and others in the business; provide a safe work environment to learn and mature, sharing knowledge and experience.
- Adapt and react well to changing priorities and requirements (both business and project).
- Strong business development skills and commercial awareness/acumen (e.g. cross selling Mace services into client organisations).
- Strong understanding of construction and related industry, trends, innovation and associated threats and opportunities.
- Deep domain knowledge of providing PMO and Project Controls leadership in collaboration with external bodies, professional institutions and peers.
You’ll also have:
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the infrastructure sector.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Experience of working client-side as well as within a consultancy.
- Practical application, and understanding of the opportunities related to data analytics and intelligent reporting, Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
