Our Rail team is growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager to join us on a permanent basis. In this role you will represent Mace whilst interfacing with our key client Network Rail. Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager you will deliver construction assurance and governance for third-party and outside-party works, ensuring safety and integrity of Network Rail’s infrastructure. Night and weekend work will be available.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Managing construction assurance for third-party works protecting Network Rail assets.
  • Providing governance through site inspections and assurance activities.
  • Monitoring construction risk and implementing proportionate mitigation.
  • Validating design risks through audits and constructability reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards, procedures and legislation.
  • Approving construction and health and safety documentation.
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders and site teams.
  • Producing clear assurance reporting, data capture and risk management.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Proven construction management experience, including rail construction assurance environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, and rail engineering standards.
  • Certified in site safety management, holding a valid PTS; COSS desirable.
  • Effective communicator with demonstrated leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills.
