The project: We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to support a major utilities provider in the North‑West. This role will play a key part in the delivery of large‑scale utilities projects, with opportunities to work across a diverse and evolving programme of work.

Location: The position can be based at either Warrington or Cumbria, with a hybrid working model in place. You’ll be embedded on ongoing projects at your chosen base location while collaborating closely with wider teams across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a cost professional with utilities experience to join a leading organisation and contribute to critical infrastructure development.

Providing cost management services from contract signature and award to completion of projects in various sectors. Providing leadership to managers and professionals.

You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Providing strategic direction and ensuring effective delivery of key assignments.
  • Overseeing contract administration, documentation and valuations.
  • Driving robust cost control, reporting and commercial assurance.
  • Evaluating variations, claims and completion processes.
  • Managing and developing teams, enabling high‑performance delivery.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement.
  • Upholding ethical, sustainable operations and support net‑zero ambitions.
You’ll Need To Have:
  • Strong commercial, contractual and cost‑management expertise across complex projects.
  • Skilled in risk, change, contract administration and stakeholder communication.
  • Degree‑qualified, digitally proficient, with sector‑specific knowledge and professional development.
  • Experience leading teams, driving best practice, sustainability and continuous improvement.
