The project involves leading the delivery of a live prison construction project, with overall accountability for the Mace team and acting as the key client interface. This role will provide end-to-end project management across the project lifecycle to meet defined time, cost, technical performance and quality requirements. This is a client-facing role where you will be responsible for leading a team in the delivery of the project.
You will be highly motivated, understand developing a project plan, identify any specialist requirements and lead an existing professional team to drive forward the clients’ strategy. You will also be responsible for management of necessary project governance and assurance tools to fulfil our obligations. As project lead, you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery by building strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and supply chain members. Note: Attendance on-site at least 2/3 days a week is a requirement for this role.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Applying local HSW standards and quality systems.
- Managing construction delivery and NEC4 obligations.
- Driving programme, risks and reporting.
- Maintaining strong governance and change control.
- Coordinating stakeholders and communication.
- Managing budgets and support sustainable outcomes.
- Managing teams, innovation and performance.
You’ll need to have:
- Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or working towards.
- Strong project management, commercial acumen and stakeholder leadership skills.
- NEC4 experience.
