The project: This is an excellent opportunity to join EDF as a Business Analyst for Information Management and join one of the most exciting and challenging projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the business stakeholders in definition of their information goals (Information Requirements) and ensuring that the right data is available for the business users, in the right tools, and in the right time, e.g. by identifying the systems integration requirements, reporting development needs or the information data model creation needs.
- Creating, analysing and validating the information flows and their potential issues and risks, e.g. data quality issues, information sensitivity etc.
- Working closely with the Business Architect to transform their collected business requirements into information requirements, raising any potential information gaps with them. Also working closely with Project teams and business stakeholders to validate the information requirements and resolve key complex business challenges.
- Working alongside the Information Architects as part of a wider Information Management team, by sharing our Information Analysis documentation and collaborating with sharing knowledge and learnings on both projects and wider industry learnings.
- Managing assigned portfolio of work (of multiple projects) and synchronising project activities between the teams to ensure the Information Analyst deliverables are completed on time. On average we work on 2-4 projects simultaneously per month (depending on the scale of the projects).
- Acting as a bridge between Business Stakeholders and the Digital organisation and guiding the business through to the relevant Information Management services they require.
- Supporting the development of HPC Information Management tools, processes and procedures.
- Supporting the development of communication and guidance material to build knowledge and understanding of Information Management across HPC.
You’ll need to have:
- Information Management leadership experience across a number of projects/programmes.
- Information architecture. Naming, numbering, filing, ISO19650.
- Technical qualifications and certifications such as APM IM, Assoc of Information Managers.
- Subject matter expert in key IM software including Aconex, Viewpoint, Business Collaborator, SharePoint, etc.
