The Senior Area Integration Engineer drives integrated installation sequencing across multiple contracts, from manufacture to commissioning. Partnering with delivery, planning and PMO teams, they resolve interfaces, manage constraints and dependencies, and ensure safe, efficient, data‑led schedule delivery aligned to commissioning milestones.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Championing safety‑led construction planning, embedding conventional and nuclear safety.
- Developing integrated area‑based plans to optimise sequencing and contractor interfaces.
- Coordinating equipment, materials and logistics to meet site need dates.
- Enabling shared services planning, including scaffold and temporary utilities.
- Promoting collaborative area management across delivery, commissioning and controls.
- Implementing delivery integration processes, including work packs and interface data.
- Proactively managing hotspots, risks and constraints.
- Embedding and sharing lessons learned to strengthen future delivery.
You’ll need to have:
- Experience and understanding of working in a Nuclear and Safety Quality culture.
- Understanding and awareness of working in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and in an integrated team environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Management of strategic planning, developing construction sequences and recovery plans.
- Good working knowledge of commercial principles affecting construction matters.
- Ability to produce informative, concise reports.
- Motivational approach and the ability to energise team members by building a climate of trust and understanding.
- Awareness of project change control and risk management processes.
- Extensive working knowledge in the delivery of large complex construction projects.
