About The Project
Curzon Street station is a new £800m HS2 project in Birmingham city centre. The station development, whilst forming part of the new HS2 network between London and the North, will provide a catalyst for development across the East side of Birmingham. As a leading station, Curzon Street strives to provide a centre of excellence for the development of best practice reporting and management models.
About The Role
To manage and control the flow of information across the Curzon Street Project, managing the co‑ordination of information between contractors, employer and client. Maintaining information flow within policies and the implementation of technological solutions to ensure a coordinated production, use and handover of digital information, in accordance with the Works information.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Write and maintain policies for information management and establish frameworks for the management of structured information.
- Implement and maintain the required technological tools to facilitate information collection, exchange and use.
- Establish process to identify need and provide training to Contractor and Supply Chain, in the use of information systems.
- Support the production of the Exchange of Information Plan in accordance with BS19650.
- Manage the information exchange processes between Contractor and Employer and Contractor and others.
- Apply the Common Data Environment (CDE) compliant with project information processes and ensure it is maintained during design and construction.
- Provide reports on information flow.
- Implement the Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP) and Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) to facilitate and monitor the progress of the PIM and AIM.
- Implement the Model Production Delivery Table to identify the asset models to be developed and the level of development at each project stage.
- Work with the Department leads to identify opportunities to improve information processes as well as to facilitate better decision making.
- Ensure that the information is produced following the BEP / EIR requirements.
- Define information requirements to be included as part of Supply Chain contracts.
- Implement required cybersecurity measures to facilitate the integrity of the PIM and AIM.
What You’ll Bring
- Computer skills – well developed IT skills including Office suite.
- In‑depth experience in Electronic Document Management Systems and Common Data Environment definition.
- Experience in defining requirements, implementing and operating collaborative platforms.
- Experience in producing information management documents in infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience of working for major infrastructure clients typically, TfL and other UK or International organisations.
Nice to Have
- Demonstrate significant experience of complex station/transport interchange infrastructure build and employment in management roles on projects of similar scope and scale, within the construction industry.
- Be educated to degree or higher level or equivalent in a numerate discipline, typically an Engineering discipline.
- A lower educational level, typically HNC or HND may be acceptable where a very significant level of experience can be demonstrated.
