Project: The recently announced Thamesmead Extension project extends the Docklands Light Railway from Gallions Reach to a new station in Thamesmead. The £1.7bn project involves building a new station at Beckton Riverside before a tunnel under the Thames takes the line to the new Thamesmead station. The extension aims to unlock thousands of new homes and jobs, improve connections to central London, and support growth in a historically under-served area of the capital.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and upholding safety, quality, cost, and compliance standards.
  • Ensuring ethical, sustainable delivery aligned with business objectives.
  • Championing diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing across teams.
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in all activities.
  • Collaborating to achieve net zero carbon goals.
  • Directing preparation of tender packs and contract documentation.
