To perform the role of Associate Director - Commercial Consultancy, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large and complex commissions within the infrastructure sector. To ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.
Our client is looking to transform their campus and how they operate while maintaining a world-class science and research capability, retaining and developing specialist expertise, in a collaborative and health and safety conscious way. We are delivery partner on their complex, 10 to 15 years, multi-billion-pound programme to redevelop their science campus near Weybridge in Surrey working collaboratively with the client and other partners for technical, cost assurance and technical assurance responsibilities.
Delivery accountabilities span the full lifecycle of projects within the overall programme which encompasses sub-programmes for enabling, infrastructure (both temporary and permanent) and new science capability in a live environment on a site of national importance, maintaining logistics and operations at all times.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Applying strong health and safety expertise across project portfolios.
- Fostering an inclusive environment that supports team wellbeing.
- Directing estimating, cost planning and presentation of cost plans, specific to Infrastructure works.
- Managing effective, compliant procurement processes.
- Delivering cost management services that drive strategic outcomes.
- Ensuring ethical, commercially sound operations supporting net-zero goals.
- Mentoring and developing teams, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
You’ll Need To Have:
- Strong Infrastructure experience, in relation to a Campus site. Also, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences projects an advantage.
- NEC4 Option A & C.
- Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
- Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
