Assistant HR Services Manager required for 6 month contract - responsible for ensuring the delivery of HR administration and transactional services is consistent, accurate and operates to best practice in a fast-paced environment. Supports team/s to provide great end-to-end services to improve the credibility and reputation of the HR function.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Senior HR Services Assistant and the HR Services Manager to continuously review and improve service delivery.
- Audit and compliance requirements being implemented, monitored and maintained.
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision to continuously improve the HR Services delivery output.
- Supporting team’s development by coaching and supporting team members.
- Acting as the second escalation point for Tier 1/Tier 2 queries which are difficult and complex.
- Monitoring and reviewing feedback and reports to identify patterns and themes that affect service delivery and makes recommendations on areas and techniques for improvement.
- Reviewing and assessing processes and functional toolkit to ensure they are consistently applied and meet the changing business needs.
- Acting as a role model by pro-actively incorporating Mace behaviours in everyday activities and role models for the team.
- Building stakeholder relationships with payroll, recruitment, HRBPs and wider HR stakeholders to share knowledge and best practice.
- Supporting HR Services Manager with all elements of deliverables for the function, engaging and empowering the HR Services team such that they are successful and operate in line with current HR policies and procedural changes that affect Mace colleagues.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
- Experience with dealing with volume, routine, complex and diverse HR matters across the full employee life cycle.
- Experienced use of future fit contemporary HR blueprints, HR tools and standard operating procedures that drive service improvement and efficiency.
- Previous experience of working in a similar environment or role in HR/Administrative capacity (or equivalent).
- Shared service knowledge.
- Experience working remotely with others.
- Comfortable with complex queries and working independently.
- Experience in creating relationships with and being able to collaborate with stakeholders to maintain an overall customer satisfaction mind-set.
- Solution focussed with excellent attention to detail, prioritisation and organisational abilities.
- Manage an operational HR shared service team.
- Support team development and ensure balanced with work and life.
- Ability to work at pace - demonstrable experience of managing and prioritising competing demands ensuring deadlines are met without loss of standards.
- HR, Business degree level or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continuous professional development as it relates to HR.
You’ll also have:
- Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of UK and European employment law to support appropriate query handling and advice.
- Experience in presenting accurate and high-quality information and data to diverse audience.
- Experience working within large global organisations.
- Experience working in fast paced environments.
- Experience of communicating - written and oral, complex HR matters succinctly, concisely and clearly.
- Able to build and maintain strong and credible stakeholder relationships with a customer satisfaction mind-set.
- Project Management expertise - managing projects within a shared services environment i.e. bulk process.
