Job Overview

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the General Ledger (GL) within Oracle, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Performs ongoing analysis of the GL to maintain data integrity and support effective financial control.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are complete, accurate, and in line with agreed timelines.

  • Prepares and posts journals within Oracle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Reviews unaccounted and accounted but not transferred transactions and resolves issues in a timely manner.

  • Owns reconciliation processes across the General Ledger, ensuring full balance sheet integrity and accountability for assigned accounts.

  • Manages and analyses Intercompany Accounting, ensuring balances are reconciled, differences are investigated, and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Supports Create Accounting processes and ensures transactions are successfully transferred to the GL.

  • Maintains data accuracy within the GL and highlights issues to relevant teams for resolution.

  • Supports financial reporting and analysis, including review of balance sheet positions and variances.

  • Builds effective relationships with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and improve processes.

  • Supports the Assistant General Ledger with day-to-day activities where required to ensure continuity of delivery.

  • Provides support to the Finance Manager on payroll accounting activities where required, including postings and reconciliations.

  • Reviews and analyses financial data, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and process efficiencies which includes ARCS BAU activities.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Finalist/Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA

  • Be able to collaborate well with internal and external stakeholders, building trusting and respectful relationships

  • Demonstrate clear, concise written and verbal communication
