For our clients in the sector, this means delivering complex projects and programmes delivering low-carbon technologies and infrastructure.
And doing so safely, efficiently, and at pace.Decarbonisation of energy is currently constrained by the capacity of, and connection to, the electricity network.
This role will be at the forefront of this, contributing to the delivery of construction projects increasing capacity on the network, and connecting new generation and storage into the grid.
Working closely with client and contractor teams, you will manage and drive project controls activities on major projects and programmes.
This may include the set-up of project controls functions, delivery of day-to-day services, and continuous improvement of existing operations to enable greater productivity and performance across the portfolio. You’ll be responsible for:Directing planning delivery, providing strategic direction aligned to sector, hub and organisational objectives.Supporting commercial governance, negotiations and long-term strategy, upholding Mace values and responsible outcomes.Enabling high‑performing, inclusive teams through collaboration, knowledge sharing and strong stakeholder relationships.Developing and integrating robust programmes, reflecting logistics, site constraints and sustainable delivery.Coordinating teams, interfaces and reporting, tracking productivity, progress and contractual obligations.Embedding health, safety and net zero outcomes within programme planning and execution.Engaging clients and stakeholders, managing work plans, deadlines and project requirements.Owning all aspects of the planning process including the integrated programme, critical paths, client programmes and the analysis and acceptance of contractor programmes.Ensuring cost loading of programmes to the appropriate level of cost and progress capture.Analysing contractor programmes and provide feedback to project management including run rates, schedule risks and mitigation measures/opportunities.Ability to manage all aspects of contractual management for programme related events.You’ll need to have:Working towards professional qualification (e.g.
CIOB, APM, PMI).Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.Degree qualified with seven years’ relevant experience in linear infrastructure delivery.Professional membership or equivalent development.Our valuesSafety first
