Overview
In this role you will lead cost and commercial management for strategic education-sector clients, guiding cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and procurement strategies. You will manage feasibility studies, valuations, contract administration, and change cost evaluation, while driving value management and stakeholder engagement. You’ll oversee delivery across disciplines, mentor the team and push process improvements. A focus on net zero initiatives and client-focused outcomes underpins your leadership in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities
- Managing feasibility studies and advising on procurement strategies
- Managing cost planning, valuations, and reporting
- Overseeing contract preparation, administration, and final accounts
- Applying value management techniques at project outset
- Evaluating claims and managing design change costs
- Driving stakeholder engagement and team leadership
- Implementing process improvements and mentoring team members
- Supporting net zero carbon initiatives across delivery
Key requirements
- Chartered MRICS and a degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent)
- Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts
- Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction
