Responsibilities
- Direct risk management delivery across major commissions and programmes
- Act as senior risk management SME to clients and project teams
- Develop and implement risk strategies, frameworks, and governance processes
- Provide strategic risk advice to clients and senior stakeholders
- Manage complex risks and opportunities across large construction programmes
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships and meet expectations
- Influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders, including executives and board members
- Coach and mentor high-performing risk management teams
- Drive continuous improvement of risk management capability and service delivery
- Integrate risk activities with wider project controls and programme management
- Support business growth through client engagement, thought leadership and cross-selling
- Establish networks with professional bodies and industry peers to promote best practice
- Key requirements
- 10-15 years of risk management leadership experience on major construction programmes
- Relevant university degree (e. g. risk management, engineering) or equivalent
- Chartered (or equivalent) membership of professional institutions (e. g. APM/IRM)
- Active engagement with peers in professional bodies and contribution to professional knowledge
