Overview

In this Project Manager role, you will deliver multiple fast-paced investment programmes for major FMCG retail clients within Mace’s consultancy division. You’ll oversee cross-functional projects from inception to construction, coordinating design teams and consultants, and managing budgets, risks, and timelines. The position emphasizes safety, client focus, and delivering strategic outcomes while promoting best practice across programmes. You will work with senior leaders and stakeholders to achieve KPIs and support long-term capability development, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver multiple projects from inception through construction across various investment types (fit-outs, extensions, refurbishments, asset renewals, rollouts).
  • Manage budgets, risks, and long-term functional development for programmes.
  • Coordinate design and consultant teams and ensure collaborative delivery.
  • Oversee progress to meet KPIs and drive best-practice adoption across programmes.
  • Promote technical H&S standards and foster an inclusive culture.
  • Support senior leaders with planning, task management and governance of deliverables.
  • Report into the Mace account/programme lead and coordinate with stakeholders across a geographic area.

Key requirements

  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering projects/programmes in the FMCG retail sector.
  • Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
