The project: Mace is currently recruiting qualified Cost and Commercial Managers for our central government departments to support our teams in the delivery of their projects consisting of new builds, extensions, remodels and refurbishments, space planning and workplace design with project values between 500k and 250m.
To perform the role of Senior Cost Consultant, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large and complex commissions covering central government departments and the public sector.
Conducting feasibility studies, business cases and writing procurement reports.
Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project.
Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.
Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
Being a key interface with client and other consultants, at all project stages.
Good working knowledge of contracts, estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling.
We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.
