Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end cost consultancy delivery for high-end retail fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK and Europe. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure value-driven outcomes and robust cost management. You will apply value management, manage cost planning, procurement, post-contract reporting, and final accounts to meet client objectives. This position offers impact through shaping projects for luxury retailers and guiding teams in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, business cases and procurement reporting
- Lead cost planning and estimating activities, and present the final cost plan
- Manage procurement stages from prequalification to contract preparation
- Oversee post-contract cost variances, change control, and cost checking/valuation
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present findings to the client
- Participate in meetings and actively engage with stakeholders
- Apply value engineering and life cycle costing
- Negotiate and finalise final accounts
- Act as a key interface with client and other consultants at all stages
- Support marketing, business development, and regional representation of Mace
- Provide line management and oversee recruitment activities
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and membership of a relevant institute
- Track record of winning and delivering work for private sector clients in high street and/or luxury retail
- Knowledge of contracts, estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling
- Negotiation, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect
- Digitally savvy with ability to build client relationships and lead high-performing teams
- Cost consultancy practice and a drive to grow in a commercial environment
