You will play a pivotal role in Mace's AI transformation by independently leading the discovery, redesign and optimisation of business processes and digital services using AI-first principles. Working across the business and Digital teams, you'll identify high-value opportunities, shape innovative AI-enabled solutions and help translate ambitious ideas into measurable business outcomes that build the future of Mace Consult.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the assessment of current business processes, decision points, pain points and supporting data to identify where AI can augment, automate or transform outcomes.
- Evaluating opportunities, benefits, risks and constraints of AI-enabled change, including business value, feasibility, process readiness, data quality, controls, governance and responsible AI considerations.
- Defining practical AI-enabled future-state processes using AI-first principles, challenging existing ways of working and shaping activities around value, decisions and user experience.
- Working with business, Digital, data, architecture, product and operational stakeholders to shape practical, responsible and scalable AI-enabled process solutions.
- Capturing business requirements, AI use cases, process rules, decision logic and success measures in a clear and unambiguous manner using standard methods and templates.
- Creating and defining as-is and to-be process maps, service journeys and operating models inputs that embed AI, automation and human oversight appropriately.
- Translating business requirements into clear functional, data and AI solution requirements, working closely with technical teams to ensure feasibility, adoption and value realisation.
- Bringing relevant external examples, market awareness and practical insight into AI-enabled, process improvement and digital transformation.
- Leading business analysis activities of smaller initiatives or workstreams from discovery through design, testing and handover where a dedicated Project Manager is not required.
- Supporting the adoption of AI-enabled business analysis practices by sharing methods, templates and lessons learned with colleagues across the business.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Success in this role will include:
- Identifying and shaping AI opportunities that deliver measurable business value.
- Leading business process and AI readiness assessments across a diverse stakeholder community.
- Producing high-quality requirements, process maps and use case documentation that accelerate delivery.
- Supporting the prioritisation of AI opportunities based on value, feasibility, risk and organisational readiness.
- Helping ensure AI-enabled solutions are practical, scalable and aligned to business objectives.
You’ll need to have:
- Experience independently managing business analysis assessments for digital, data or AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Strong experience in process discovery, process mapping and redesign, including defining future-state work design, including identifying data control and user experience implications.
- Ability to identify, shape and prioritise AI use cases that deliver measurable business value and improved process outcomes.
- Experience building business cases, assessing expected value and defining measurable success criteria for technology-enabled initiatives.
- Experience capturing business, functional and non-functional requirements for AI, data and technology solutions.
- Good understanding of AI, automation and analytics concepts, with the ability to work effectively with technical specialists and translate complexity for business stakeholders.
- Experience assessing whether AI, automation, analytics or process redesign is the most appropriate approach to solving a business problem.
- Experience assessing data readiness, data quality, process dependencies, governance and controls associated with AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience working with delivery partners, 3rd party suppliers and blended or offshore delivery models.
- Experience working on technology or transformation initiatives of varying sizes and complexity.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Experience working with colleagues at all levels of the business, of varying technical abilities.
- Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders to identify, assess and prioritise technology, automation or AI opportunities.
