The project: Our client is one of the largest water companies in the UK, responsible for water and wastewater services in England. Their purpose is to deliver their services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.
We currently provide the client with a range of services focused on programme and project management and are always looking for opportunities to deliver more value through the provision of expert and strategic staff. To plan and lead the successful delivery of a programme of works being delivered by an Area delivery team made up of the client's partners and contractors in accordance with their corporate values and following requirements:
- Health and safety strategy – personnel safety, process safety and health and wellbeing
- Target operating model – system thinking, situational awareness and production line thinking
- Outcomes – regulatory, customer and resilience
To be the interface between the area delivery team and the business at a senior level and will be required to manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the capital programme in line with their business strategy.

You will need to have:
- A degree in engineering, construction and/or project management discipline and a member of a relevant institute such as ICE, IMechE, IET, IChemE or RICS.
- Completed and passed the APM project management qualification (PMQ) course.
- 10+ years project management experience.
- Digitally savvy and familiarity in using project, programme and financial management tools such as Oracle and Primavera P6.
- A Full UK Driving Licence essential.
You will also have:
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience of working on projects within large, diverse teams.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
