They will act as a technical lead for the Risk team ensuring the implementation of Risk specific processes and framework. They will follow all governance arrangements for the Risk team providing effective reporting of Risk and Opportunity information in a timely and accurate manner, supporting others to achieve the same results. They will manage the delivery of specific contracts which range in value from 10m to 500m. The Senior Risk Analyst will be required to direct workload and provide guidance to the Risk Analysts or Trainee Risk Analysts on a day-to-day basis to enable them to support the Risk and project controls activities on the project.You’ll be responsible for:Acting as the Risk Management lead for the assigned Programme/Area, providing guidance and assurance to stakeholders on risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and management.Maintaining and assuring the quality of Risk and Opportunity data within the risk management system (e.g., ARM).Producing and delivering Risk and Opportunity reports in line with reporting cycles, including analysing key drivers, trends, and performance issues.Reviewing, challenging, and assessing significant risks and opportunities that may impact programme objectives.Facilitating risk reviews, workshops, scenario planning sessions, and opportunity assessments.Analysing risk data and identifying links across the wider project, working closely with Project Controls Managers and Risk Leads.Challenging risk assumptions and uncertainties to support informed decision-making and prioritisation.Ensuring a comprehensive and up-to-date risk portfolio that accurately reflects the current project position.Collaborating with Integrated Project Controls (IPC) teams to ensure project schedules and cost estimates are supported by robust risk information.Supporting Programme/Area teams and Tier 1 Contractors in assessing contractor-held risks and programme-level risks that may affect delivery.Identifying and implementing improvements to risk management processes, procedures, reporting, and tools.Producing and presenting accurate, insightful project controls and risk information for Programme Reviews, Board Meetings, ROTCs, and Portfolio Risk Reviews.Managing and validating information within Power BI dashboards and proposing enhancements and improvements.Delivering risk management and risk software training to programme teams, project managers, and apprentices.Recommending additional training requirements and driving continuous improvement of risk management capabilities and processes.You’ll need to have:Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).Holding recognised Project Controls and/or Risk Management qualifications, such as Management of Risk (MoR) Practitioner and/or APM Risk Level 2.Demonstrating extensive experience in risk management and project controls within complex project environments.Applying expert knowledge of risk management methodologies, tools, techniques, and performance analysis.Working within project management environments, with construction sector experience desirable.Operating within the Nuclear industry or other highly regulated industries (desirable).Using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.Managing Risks and Opportunities using ARM.Conducting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) using Safran.Producing reporting, analytics, and business intelligence outputs using Power BI.Supporting training and capability development for teams in the use of risk management and project controls software.Our valuesSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.Client focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.Integrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.Create opportunity - For our people to excel: Wechampion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.
