Accountable for cost management on a construction project or programme, including profit & management risk and governance. Advises on appropriateness of various procurement routes.

You will possess advanced technical expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio. - Client focus - Deliver on our promise: You will support the construction lead on the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. You will manage, influence, and negotiate with key senior stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will build a strong working relationship with your clients, and support the construction lead in turning the client’s vision into a deliverable onsite plan. Advises on administrative procedures necessary for the project. Manages procurement process and reports on the outcome. Accountable for overseeing a commercial team. Responsible for cost and contract management in a timely manner. Agrees variations and claims including final accounts. Ensures CVR targets are met and profitability of the project is achieved. Develops relationships with clients and consultants with future work in mind. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:
- Networking with Clients/Contractor supply chain.
- Member of senior management and safety leadership teams.
- Understanding of current construction technology.
- Exposure to diverse construct projects, contracts, commercial environments and tasks.
- Able to communicate effectively and line manage diverse teams.
- Draws on a range of styles to persuade & influence others strategic approach to management of projects.
- Understand client requirements and promote Mace.
- Coach & mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management (or equivalent).
- CSCS & SMSTS.
