The project: The reservoirs programme is focused on two new multi-billion-pound raw water reservoir developments - Fens and Lincs reservoirs in the East of England and East Midlands alongside all the associated infrastructure. It is the largest and most complex programme of work ever undertaken by Anglian Water. The programme is required to secure planning approval for each of these schemes as nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs) via the development consent order (DCO) route. We will also develop and establish the delivery stage procurement of future licensed regulated entities (known as infrastructure providers - IPs) to design, build, finance and operate the reservoir systems and ultimately provide a new potable water supply to Anglian Water and Cambridge Water customers.
The senior technical project manager will be a key part of the programme solutions team, who are responsible for defining and driving technical solutions that achieve project and programme objectives and requirements across the asset and project lifecycles. Their primary responsibility will be to deliver a water quality and water resources programme in line with Anglian Water’s purpose and the reservoir programme requirements.
We are looking for a senior technical project manager who has a passion for delivering projects in the water sector, has an appetite for challenge and change, who is looking to further grow their career in this arena, and who understands and embraces the accountability that comes with the delivery of complex capital works: in this case the front-end development of a multi-billion-pound reservoir programme.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing project management services across the programme solutions work packages, overseeing the cost, schedule, and quality of deliverables to provide assurance of delivery and achieve established project benefits and requirements.
- Having technical skills and experience in water quality and water resources.
Our values:
- Safety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.
- Client focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.
