The project: Come and join our expanding team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. The project will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, playing a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved right from the start of such a historic project. This role will be based in the clients office 2-3 days per week.

You will support the planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. Support project managers in the delivery of projects by providing high level planning service for the preparation of project plans, producing baseline scheduled tasks, resource profiles and financial models. Leads application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools. Communicate effectively with the client, project team and stakeholders. Influence on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively. Influence client to accept proposals and recommendations. Undertake task/s required to fulfil the requirements of the project/assignment. Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You will support the long-term development of strategy for a function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future. You’ll need to have:
- Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes.
- Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
