The project: Mace has proudly worked in partnership with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) since 2014 on over 300 projects nationally across HM Prison Estate. Our experience ranges from capital maintenance improvements across the existing prison estate and courts through to the delivery of the first new build prisons, HMP Five Wells and Fosse Way. Testament to our track record of delivery and capability in the custodial sector, Mace was appointed as delivery partner for a further four new prisons and then as Estates Delivery Partner (EDP) in 2021 to deliver additional prison places through expansions in the existing prison estate. Together the delivery partner services provided via the New Prisons programme and Estates Delivery Partner contract make up the New Prisons Capacity programme.
