The project: As part of the growing number of projects within Mace, we are seeking a housing and regeneration lead who has an exceptional understanding of the sector and is seen as a market leader in their own right. You will develop the sector skill set, support regional teams and portfolio as part of our exciting development plans for growth. Mace has a growing housing and regeneration sector, working on some of the leading and most complex schemes across the UK. Joining our senior leadership team, you will work with our regional director to lead on some of the most exciting projects Mace delivers and lead this entity across our Central and Northern region.
The role will take responsibility for teams managing end-to-end delivery and performance of large and complex commissions within the public and private sector, ensuring that client objectives are met through delivery. We are seeking someone who can act as a senior point of escalation, supporting and leading in business development, financial management and operational management.

You will lead the procurement process, ensuring stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.

You’ll need to have:
- Relevant degree qualification (chartered or a similar level of professional qualification will be viewed favourably) and have transferable skills.
- Track record of business planning, business development and delivering work for public and private sector clients in the housing and regeneration sector.
- Understanding of the intricacies of an integrated service offer covering cost, procurement, strategic advisory, project and programme management, PMO, sustainability and development management services in various contractual agreements.
- Construction consultancy background in either cost management or project management.
- Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
- Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
